Mister Chai’s journey began many years ago in the jungles of the Nilgiri Mountains in India, when Prem 'the chai master' initiated Mister Chai founder Tim into the art of the chaiwallah.

We haven’t stopped making chai since.

New Zealand has unfortunately seen a proliferation in syrup and powder ‘chai lattes’ which are the equivalent of instant coffee for coffee connoisseurs. Mister Chai is an authentic chai made with certified organic ingredients. Drinking our chai is like being transported to India.

Our chai cart at the Nelson Market is a local institution. We have chai junkies coming every weekend to get their fix on some of New Zealand's best chai. From this we've grown our new Cafe Chai concentrate which makes authentic chai fast and easy for cafes.
