Chia Sisters sees great success mixing purpose with profit using Upstock

Chia Sisters is a wildly popular, purpose driven health brand, founded by Neuroscientist Chloe Van Dyke and her sister Florence. Lisa Page is the Accounts & Order Manager, and she says it’s important that their carefully crafted superfood drinks are stocked by companies that align with their brand values – and Upstock helped them achieve that at a large and rapidly growing scale.

What prompted you to use Upstock for your order processing?

Our previous process was way too manual and was taking too much time. We were growing so fast. We had to find a better solution for doing orders. With all the supermarket orders coming in it was just getting huge. We're supplying almost all the New Worlds, Fresh Choices and Countdowns – so that's pretty massive. 

How do you manage all your different customers on Upstock?

With Upstock we’re reaching more new and different customers, contributing to our company's growth. We have different price lists set up in Upstock, suiting all our different customer segments – health stores, specialty distributors, supermarkets. It’s easy for us to add new customer segments as we start getting orders from new customer types. Each price list has the range we supply, relevant to that customer and that audience.

How has Upstock improved the way you process supermarket orders?

Foodstuffs have their own internal discounts and rebates and the prices in the Exchange never matched what we had in our system. So we had to go through a very manual process of working out the discounts they were putting through. Whereas with Upstock, it all just comes through as requested and processed straight into our system. So it’s way less time-consuming. Before, a lot of clicks had to be done between our system and the Exchange to approve and get the orders through. Now it’s super quick.
